Modern Fuels Require Modern Fuel Hose.

Installing Barricade protects the system against the aggressive fuel mixtures of today’s modern fuels, which can degrade basic rubber hose and result in customer comebacks. This is a HIGHquality fuel hose made by a WelLKNOWN and trusted name in automotive rubber products. Fuel line is an area where quality is fr more mportant than cost. This hose is specific to the lower fuel pressures present on cars and trucks that are carburated. If your vehicle is fuel injected you need a different hose to handle the higher pressures. This hose is specifically designed to resist damage from the ethanol forced upon us at 10% of our fuel. Etthanol can quickly destroy older rubber hose that was not designed to handle it. If your vehicle is more than 10 years old, make sure to check your hoses for cracking before you wind up with a potentially dangerous fuel leak.

This Gates hose meets very strict low permeation rates which Ibelieve are higher than the minimum allowed. That means it allows less of your fuel to escape thru the hose walls which keeps it out of our air which is a good thing.

Further information regarding ethanol and your fuel line: Thanks to the most corrupt Congressmen in history, we got stuck with ethanol in our gas. A terrible decision that not only didn't help the environment, but resulted in lots of gasoline pouring from most vehicles made prior to its introduction into mainstream fuel.

Rubber and plastic hoses that carry fuel from the gas tank to your engine were not designed to carry this additive and resulted in cracked and leaking hoses (besides other issues).

Local Napa wanted $5 a foot for a cheaper version. I received it within a week with standard free shipping and it looks good. I'm happy.

I made a new fuel line for my outboard tank. Flexibility with low perm marine rating. I have plenty left over for the inboard repair that may come up
